ABOUT US
We are a highly qualified team who are dedicated to providing a timely and efficient service ensuring cardiac patients have access to the latest diagnostic testing. The non-invasive procedures performed in our rooms include full cardiac echocardiograms, cardiac stress echocardiograms, exercise stress test, 12 lead ECG’s, 24 hour Holter Monitoring and 24 hour Blood Pressure Monitoring. Our team is made up of our Cardiologist, Dr Manish Patel, two Cardiac Sonographers, Deb and Kay, a Registered Nurse, Julie, and our Office Manager, Sue.
MEET THE TEAM
Manish is our Interventional Cardiologist. He completed his Medical Schooling at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand and commenced as a doctor at Nepean Hospital in 1994. He has trained over his career at Westmead Hospital, Nepean Hospital and completed his Interventional training at the Eastern Heart Clinic – Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick. This has given him a broad experience in Clinical and Interventional Cardiology. His expertise is in coronary artery stenting, pacemaker and internal cardiac defibrillator implantation. He also has a keen interest in implantation of biventricular internal cardiac defibrillators and the management of chronic heart failure.
Sue is our office manager who has a background in nursing. Sue has worked with Dr Manish Patel since 2006, she has a vast knowledge of all things related to practice management and works tirelessly for both patients and staff to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
Julie is an RN of 24 years, working with Dr Manish Patel since 2008. She is knowledgeable and passionate about ensuring all clients are treated with respect and compassion and receiving the best service possible.
Kay has grown up and worked in the Nepean district. She has over 25 years of experience from working at Nepean Hospital. She commenced her training in the Nepean Cardiology department and now, in addition to working with us, is scanning at the Nepean Intensive Care unit. She has had a broad experience as a cardiac technician including pacemaker checks and cardiac catheter laboratory monitoring.
Deb has been working as a Cardiac Sonographer for 30 years. In that time she has trained many new sonographers and was responsible for establishing the Cardiac Investigations Units at both Nambour General Hospital and Cairns Base Hospital.
